About

Marti Awad has more than 30 years of experience working in the capital markets, first as a practicing tax attorney at one of the country’s top law firms and, for the past 24 years, as a private wealth advisor. Before that she worked in the tax consulting group of a national accounting firm. She joined Wealth Enhancement Group in 2021 through the merger of Cardan Capital Partners which she cofounded. Her tax and legal background, coupled with her deep investment expertise, place her in a unique position to advise clients on virtually every aspect of their complex wealth management issues.

Marti specializes in holistic financial planning and works closely with our clients’ other advisors — attorneys, accountants and family office practitioners — to ensure that their collective advice is integrated. She is driven by a passion to assist our clients in defining and achieving their goals and, ultimately, to help design a legacy for future generations.

Marti is a dedicated member of the Denver civic and nonprofit community and has served on numerous boards and committees. At present, she is a member of the Boards and Directors for the following organizations: Metro State University of Denver Foundation (Treasurer), Rose Community Foundation (Chair) and CollegeInvest, The Colorado State 529 Plan (immediate Past Chair) to which she was appointed by Colorado Governors John Hickenlooper and Jared Polis.

In 2015, Marti was one of 10 people worldwide to receive the Merrill Lynch David Brady Award for exceptional service to clients, collaboration with colleagues and contributions to the community. She was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a 2019 Outstanding Woman in Business in the category of Small Business Leader, by the Girl Scouts of Colorado as a 2019 Woman of Distinction and by WorldDenver as its 2022 Individual Honoree.
